Martin Wheeler is one of the most sought after instructors in the Russian Martial Art of Systema. A lifelong martial artist, Martin is a ranking master of American Kempo Karate, and has extensive experience in Judo, Muay Thai, Kali and MMA. In addition to the gym, Martin also has had extensive street experience working as a bouncer in some of the UK’s roughest clubs. Martin now serves as a tactical trainer to various law enforcement and special operations groups, fight coordinator, screen writer, actor, and director in Hollywood. "Fighting Against Multiple Attackers" Sept 11, 2010

This class will focus on fighting against multiple opponents using dynamic movement, short striking work, ground work, and tactical positioning. Students will begin working against single opponents to develop necessary basic skills and attributes. Students will then progress to working against 2 or more opponents, depending on skill level.

"Gun and Knife Defense" Sept 12, 2010

This class will focus upon defense against weapons, specifically guns and knives. Topics to be studied will include evading attack through movement, weapon trapping, and disarms.

Sonny Puzikas - October 2010

Former Spetsnaz soldier Saulius “Sonny” Puzikas will be coming to the Atlanta area to teach the "Systema: Hand to Hand" and the "Violence in Atlanta II" seminars from Oct 22nd through Oct 24th 2010. Recently featured on Discovery Channel's "Weaponology" and Spike TV's "Deadliest Warrior", Sonny has become one of the most sought after instructors on Russian Weapon Systems and the Russian Martial Arts. "Systema: Hand to Hand" Oct 22, 2010

Systema is the Russian Martial Art used by the top operatives of the Russian Special Forces (Spetsnaz GRU). Needing the fastest and most effective training regime for their elite fighters and undercover operatives, the Soviets developed a fighting style that was both effective, adaptive, and easy to learn.  Systema forms the foundation for the weapon based skills explored later in the seminar. No previous martial arts experience is required.

"Violence in Atlanta II" Oct 23-24, 2010

This class will foucs upon advanced handgun work at “in your face distances”.  Weapon Access, Retention, and Disarms will be studied, as well as fighting in and around vehicles.  Saturday will also include a section on low light and zero light shooting methods. Use of both white light and NVG's will be addressed. Tactics and techniques will be identical to those taught to Russian Special Forces (Spetsnaz).

Equipment Requirements: Outdoor Clothing, Handgun, 800rnds pistol ammo, ancillary weapon gear (holster, pouches, etc), Tactical Light, Water
